My name is Deandra Thomas, licensed social worker and founder of The Social Social Worker Podcast LLC. I created this platform to uplift, educate, and empower those who dedicate their lives to making a difference for children and families. After years working in child welfare and advocacy, I saw the need for a safe, honest space to talk about what really happens behind the scenes — the triumphs, the trauma, and the transformation. This podcast was born from that need. It’s a place for transparency, storytelling, and community. Whether you’re a student finding your path, a professional on the frontlines, or simply someone who believes in justice and empathy — you belong here. Beyond the microphone, I’m passionate about mentorship, outreach, and systemic reform that strengthens families and supports those serving them.
